Layered hairstyles for longer faces?

I have dirty blonde hair, that is fairly long, with bangs that are long and brushed to the side.

I think my hair is really plain, and would like something that looks better and more exciting. Layers interest me.

But I understand that certain layered hairstyles look better on people with shorter faces, and those on longer faces, etc.

I have a long face, so my question is, what are some layered hairstyles that would go along with my long face? I googled, but wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for.

try keeping short hair

Try going to a salon that has hair imaging software. They can do some looks on the computer before your face. it's hard to say what will suit someone.

i think that you just need to go long with short layers to your chin or where ever.

it gives your face the appearance that short layers has but its actually long. :)

I would think that layering would be a great idea. You should probably keep some length but by putting in layers you could flip your hair and give your face a lift. I agree with the person who said to try an imaging salon. There are also web sites that you can do it for yourself. Good Luck! I hope you love your new do!

I am just like you! Same color and face shape! I had that long hair style and I had talked with a hairstylist and went through some serious consideration of photo's and options. I cut it short about shoulder length, made it a choppy look where it's straight with lots of layers (if you have any natural curl just use Hempz a gel that is a natural straightener as well as a de-frizzer) and use a hair straightener to flip it up layer by layer on the sides of my face and on the sides of my head. I like the back flipped up as well and it really takes away from that long face look and brings out your eyes and lips more. I got tons of compliments and it's easy to care for. Hope this helps! hugs!
