ive got hair that is pretty thick but wavy i was thinking of getting side bangs. ive already got in long layers and my hair is slightly longer than shoulder length. the only thing is that i dont want a major drastic change!...

go for the sidebangs, i have similar hair to you, always had the same hairstyle but wanted something different ad it made a difference without going too different. You could also try putting some colour in. hope this helps

I personally have exactly the same thick/wavy problem and had a similar haircut to yourself not too long ago. I can recommend what went well for me, which was going for the side bangs and opting for a long bob style. It's a nice change without being TOO much of a drastic change and is relatively low maintenance which is a major bonus when blow drying thick hair! Putting a little bit colour through the hair also works wonders for if you want a new look, as if you pay that little bit extra to go to a good hairdresser it will look natural and they will match the colour to your complexion. I think you should get the sides cut longer and straight

The fringe either BLOCK or SIDE

The top layers around crown shorter to be backbrushed or messed up

The back choppy to be ruffled

and then just make the front PERFECT and the back MENTAL and you will look amazing :)
