ACK, i don't know what to get next week when im cutting my hair....?

I have a round face, asian colored skin (yellow tinted), Long hair (up to about half way down to my back in the back) and bangs up to my shoulders. But nothing int he front.... lol. idk what that style is. I have angles i guess. But i was thinking of just cutting it 2 inches shorter and getting side bangs. I do ballet competitions etc. so i didn't want ti to be annoying.... I've heard that it is really annoyign for some people and idk... Any suggestions for a new hairstyle? i've had this for about 5 years.... time for a change! Thanks so much for anyone who helps me out, of course 10 points for the best answer like alwalys!!!! =D

P.S. The one styles i don't want are short ones and i have fine thin hair

I think it would look good if you got it around shoulder-length with side-swept bangs. If they bug you during ballet you can always put them in a bobby-pin or hairspray them back.
